GDAThe Competition Pathway
Competing is optional at GDA. For the athletes who choose it, the preparation is serious and the standard does not move.

What The Work Has Produced
ADCC youth world champions. Nationally ranked youth athletes. Those results came out of this room, from athletes who trained here week after week.
We treat results as evidence that the coaching works, not as the point of the academy. Most of what happens here is development.
How We Prepare Athletes
Competition training is built around a season, not a single weekend. Athletes work positions to a standard, then test them in live rounds against partners who make them earn it. Coaches build a game the athlete actually owns rather than a set of borrowed moves.
Wrestling is part of the plan, not an add-on. Friday is a dedicated wrestling session, and takedowns, scrambles, and top pressure show up all week. Gi training runs Wednesday and Thursday so athletes stay ready for gi and no-gi rulesets alike.
Match strategy, weight management conversations with parents, and mat-side coaching are all part of what we do on competition weekends.

Competition athletes train the same week as everyone else. The difference is intensity, accountability, and how specific the coaching gets as an event approaches.
Who This Is For
Athletes who want to test their work and can handle honest correction. You do not need to arrive with a medal. Several of our competitors started as beginners in this room.
If competing is not the goal, that is fine. The youth development pathway is the same coaching without the season.
Train with us first.
Reserve a session, get on the mat, and let the coaches see your athlete work. A drop-in is $50 per session, paid at the gym.
